At Aamra, we don’t wait for things to go wrong; we ensure life stays right. Founded by a Senior Surgeon and an IIT-IIM alumna, we bridge the gap between independence and isolation. Because medicine adds years to life, but only community adds life to those years.
Our three promises

Eradicate isolation
Replacing the silence of a quiet home with a vibrant, intellectual social circle

Prevent falls
Expert-guided movement to preserve balance, strength, and confidence.

Reduce hospitalization
Preventive monitoring that catches small changes before they become emergencies.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Aamra a residential facility or an "old age home"?
No. Aamra is a Senior Day Club. Your parents spend a few hours with us, engaging, exercising, and socializing and then return home to you the same day. Think of it as a "workday" for their well-being, where they remain a core part of your household.
My parent is quite introverted. Will they feel out of place?
Many of our members were initially hesitant. We don't "force" social interaction; we facilitate it. We find that when seniors are around peers who share their life stage and cultural context, the "introversion" often melts away into meaningful, one-on-one connections.
How do you handle the physical safety of the members?
Safety is our baseline. Our facility is designed for senior mobility, and all movement sessions are guided by professionals. Under the medical guidance of our co-founder, Dr. Akanksha Saxena, we maintain strict protocols to prevent falls and monitor for any signs of fatigue.
I work long hours. How will my parent get to the club?
We offer a reliable pick-up and drop-off service across key areas in Gurgaon. Our transport is designed to be comfortable and punctual, ensuring you don't have to worry about coordinating logistics during your workday.
What does a typical session at Aamra look like?
Each session is a curated mix of physical and mental stimulation. It usually includes: Gentle Movement: To improve balance and strength. Cognitive Games: To keep the mind sharp and prevent memory decline. Social Hour: Tea, snacks, and conversation. Creative Expression: Music, art, or guest speakers.
Can Aamra help if my parent is dealing with the loss of a spouse?
Grief is often compounded by silence. At Aamra, the simple act of having a "routine" and a community of people who "get it" provides immense emotional relief. We offer a space where they aren't "the widow" or "the widower," but a valued member of a vibrant group.
Is there a medical professional on-site?
The club operates under the direct medical guidance of Dr. Akanksha Saxena. While we are not a hospital, our staff is trained to monitor vitals and recognize early warning signs of health issues, acting as an "early warning system" for your family.
Can we try it out before committing to a membership?
Absolutely. We offer a Complimentary Trial Day. This allows your parent to experience the atmosphere, meet the team, and see if they enjoy the rhythm of the club without any pressure.
What are the timings, and can we choose our days?
We operate Monday to Friday with two convenient slots: Morning: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Afternoon: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM We offer flexible monthly and quarterly memberships to suit your family's schedule.
Is Aamra a residential facility or an "old age home"?
We believe in transparency. We provide regular updates to families through our Family Portal, sharing highlights of their participation, new friendships they've made, and any observations regarding their physical or emotional health.
